Patronem zwierząt jest św. Franciszek z Asyżu, który
wyznawał braterstwo wszystkich żyjących istot. Celem obchodów jest przede wszystkim
uświadomienie społeczeństwu, że zwierzę nie
jest przedmiotem i należy zapewnić mu zawsze pełną ochronę i opiekę. A więc dziś, częściej niż zwykle,
podrapmy naszego pieska za uszkiem, rzućmy mu piłeczkę, idźmy na spacer.
Kotkowi pozwólmy na nic nie robienie i swobodne leżenie gdzie tylko zapragnie i jeszcze więcej pieszczotek :) Pamiętajmy
o wszystkich innych żywych stworzonkach, które zamieszkały z nami..
